Join us for an innovative approach to God’s Word that gets closer to the original biblical manuscript. Just as ancient manuscripts are carefully studied, so we want to carefully study Mark’s account of Jesus.
The gospel is laid out with 8x11 sheets, wide margins and double-spaced lines and no chapter headings or verses. The manuscript study includes a mix of individual study, sharing observations and questions around a table of four, and then probing key themes with the whole group.
Pastor Neil will serve as the group leader. Ultimately the study aims to provide a close-up encounter with Jesus.
WHEN: January 15, January 22, January 29, February 5, February 19, February 26
Who: Everyone age 16 and older is welcome to participate.
NOTE: Participation requires regular attendance. For continuity’s sake, people should be able to attend a majority of the sessions.
