Adult Education Hour
The goal of Adult Education Hour is for adults to learn about God’s Word and how it applies to their lives. There are a couple of classes offered each year to help address every day issues about the faith. The classes meet each Sunday from 10:30-11:30 a.m, during the second morning service, in the Fellowship Hall.

Afternoon Bible Hour
This is a group of retired women who are looking to grow closer to Christ by studying the Bible and visiting with one another. They meet on alternating Tuesdays (September through April) in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 1 p.m. After a one-hour study, the group enjoys refreshments.

Breakfast Bible Study
Breakfast Bible Study is for men and women of all ages. The group meets each Friday at Mrs. G’s Pankcake Factory in Palos Heights at 6:30 a.m. The study runs from Labor Day until Memorial Day. During this time the group studies a book of the Bible from start to finish. The Bible is the main textbook, although commentaries and other sources are frequently used.

Coffee Break
Coffee Break is a community Bible study open to women of all ages and religious backgrounds. Within the comfort of small group settings, women have the opportunity to ask questions about God’s Word and how it can be applied to challenging life situations and relationships. A time of sharing and prayer offers mutual support and encouragement. This group meets on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11 a.m. The program begins in mid-September and ends in early May. Childcare is provided free of charge. Infants and toddlers are lovingly cared for in the church nursery and children ages three through six participate in Story Hour. This well-organized program includes a variety of activities: Bible stories, crafts, snack time, and supervised free-play. If you have questions about Coffee Break or Story Hour contact the church office.

Friendship Club
Friendship Club is for mentally and/or physically challenged persons. The group usually meets on two Thursdays a month from 7-9 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The evenings are spent singing, doing activities, and having Bible studies. The Bible studies are one on one. The evening also includes a time for fellowship and refreshments.

Fun and Fellowship
Fun and Fellowship is for women who do exactly what the group’s name says. They fellowship with each other and have fun doing it. They meet every other Wednesday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The women enjoy coffee, light refreshments, conversation, and board games. They also take an occasional field trip to see plays, musicals, and other places of interest.

Geneva Club
This group is open to adults who want to develop a biblically Reformed worldview as they study contemporary culture and compare it with the eternal Truth revealed in the Bible. The goal is that participants use their influence to transform culture so that it is more submissive to the Lord Jesus Christ. Materials include contemporary bestsellers like The World is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman and classic Reformed publications like Calvinism: Six Stone Foundation Lectures by Abraham Kuyper. The Club meets every Thursday at 7 a.m. at Mrs. G’s Pancake Factory, with Jim Boss leading.

MOPS
image Mothers Of PreSchoolers is designed for mothers with children not yet school age who share the common desire to be the best mothers they can be. The group meets every other Thursday from 9-11:15 a.m. MOPS begins September 9 and ends in May. MOPS provides a caring, accepting atmosphere for today’s mother. Mothers from all different types of backgrounds and lifestyles are welcome to attend. At MOPS, mothers have fun, make new friendships, and explore God’s Word. The co-coordinators of MOPS are Jeni Vande Werken and Becky Van Til and the theme for this year is Momology- The Art and Science of Mothering.  If you have further questions, contact the church office at 708.448.0186 or check out the MOPS website at http://www.mops.org.

SAMS
Single Adult Ministry society was started in the spring of 2003. This group was formed to bring together single adults over the age of thirty. The group was set up to be one of fun and fellowship. In a relaxed setting people have also shared their personal needs and experiences and gained support from one another. Most of the activities have been of a social nature, but support has been given through personal illness, family member’s illness and even the death of a family member. This has been done through prayer support, cards and visits. The majority of activities are off-site.

Small Groups
Our newest initiative is the development of small groups that gather for Bible study, fellowship and prayer. We currently have two groups meeting and a third is under construction. For more information, contact Cathy Haan at .
