Adult Education Hour
The goal of Adult Education Hour is for adults to learn about God’s Word and how it applies to their lives. There are a couple of classes offered each year to help address every day issues about the faith. The classes meet each Sunday from 10:30-11:30 a.m, during the second morning service, in Fellowship Hall.

Breakfast Bible Study
Breakfast Bible Study is for men and women of all ages. The group meets each Friday at the Kingsberry Waffle House in Palos Heights at 6:30 a.m. The study runs from Labor Day until Memorial Day. During this time the group studies a book of the Bible from start to finish. The Bible is the main textbook, although commentaries and other sources are frequently used.

Friendship Club
Friendship Club is for mentally and/or physically challenged persons. The group usually meets on two Thursdays a month from 7-9 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The evenings are spent singing, doing activities, and having Bible studies. The Bible studies are one on one. The evening also includes a time for fellowship and refreshments.

Geneva Club
This group is open to adults who want to develop a biblically Reformed worldview as they study contemporary culture and compare it with the eternal Truth revealed in the Bible. The goal is that participants use their influence to transform culture so that it is more submissive to the Lord Jesus Christ. Materials include contemporary bestsellers like The World is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman and classic Reformed publications like Calvinism: Six Stone Foundation Lectures by Abraham Kuyper. The Club meets every Thursday at 7 a.m. at the Palos Garden Restaurant, with Jim Boss leading.

Men’s Life
This discussion group seeks to understand a text of Scripture, frequently looking for the light it sheds on a man’s walk with Christ. Although most of the men are retired, they are open to others whose schedule allows attendance. The group meets in The Link from 8:30-9:30 a.m. every Tuesday (September through April) and is led by Larry Goudzwaard. If you would like to attend, just show up.

SAMS
Single Adult Ministry society was started in the spring of 2003. This group was formed to bring together single adults over the age of 30. The group was set up to be one of fun and fellowship. In a relaxed setting people have also shared their personal needs and experiences and gained support from one another. Most of the activities have been of a social nature, but support has been given through personal illness, family member’s illness and even the death of a family member. This has been done through prayer support, cards and visits. The majority of activities are off-site.

Small Groups
Our newest initiative is the development of small groups that gather for Bible study, fellowship and prayer. We currently have two groups meeting and a third is under construction. For more information, contact Cathy Haan at .
